When To Jump Videos

Thank you for your interest in participating in a guest video for When to Jump. Your video will be shared across our community to help inspire and educate jumpers of every type, making jumps of every kind. We all appreciate in advance your contribution to this mission.

Video Types
Guest Lecture
Informative, tactical “x’s and o’s” video lessons where the expert provides tangible tips, tricks, and insights to the audience.
Wisdom
Personal, intimate, and overall inspiring videos that share a message, story, or theme relating to the jump experience that you care deeply about
Topic of Your Talk
When you submit your video, please make sure to tell us:
  1. The video type (Guest Lecture or Wisdom).
  2. The phase of the Jump Curve that your video most closely relates to. Choose one of the four phases in the graphic below:

Again, when you submit your video, please provide both of these bits of information to the When to Jump Team!

Video Production Guidelines
When creating your video, please adhere to the following guidelines for purposes of consistency:

  • Camera — Landscape (not portrait!), use a tripod if you have one, sit 2-3 feet from the camera, check lighting and background (ensure that you are not backlit).
  • Length — 3 to 10 minutes. Make an impact in the first 30-seconds.
  • Intro — Introduce yourself, your jump, and what you’ll talk about.
  • Middle — Your story and expertise.
  • End — A recap of your expertise, final advice/wisdom, and a reminder of who you are, and where you can be found online (LinkedIn, social media, website, email).
  • File Transfer — Save to Dropbox or Google Drive and email the link to download to jumpschool@whentojump.com. Don’t worry about editing. We’ll trim any unnecessary footage from the beginning or end of the video clip that you send to us.
