Whether you live to work or work to live we are here to tell you that you can have both. While the typical work week is 40 hours it is easy to see why many people begin to feel as though everything else outside of their 9 to 5 ends up taking a back seat to their jobs. The trick here is to create a career—and a life—that doesn't feel like work. What about spending 40 hours a week helping people start their own businesses, or teaching a classroom full of children sign language, or creating travel guides for families? Jobs that begin as a passion or hobby and bloom into a profession can help to make work feel less like working and more like living.
Do you feel as though you are in full command of your life? Can you feel the weight of your decisions propelling you forward towards success or are you waiting for success to come to you? The power of agency is a big theme in our discussions this week and it's one we'd like you to embrace. By taking control of the path ahead, especially in a world that feels overwhelming at times, you are taking stock of your life and molding it with your own two hands.
