I started this newsletter two years ago with a ton of ideas and very little else - besides about 12 subscribers, most (all?) of whom being my family members.
I imagined the newsletter to serve as the messenger of our small but mighty community – a microphone to a stage showcasing incredible people, ideas, messages and stories.
In a way, nothing has changed: I still have a ton of ideas. Most (all?) of my family members are still on the newsletter, and we’ve been lucky to see it grow tremendously since it was set up.
But, more important, is that the initial vision has also remained the same: this newsletter is still the microphone (hopefully getting toward a megaphone) that amplifies a growing community of voices that encourages, and supports, the decision to do what you love.
Tomorrow the book comes out, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished, and I couldn’t be more grateful for what you’ve given me: the stories, edits, inspiration, and ideas that will make its way into bookstores everywhere.
Thank you for being along for the ride – can’t wait to see what’s next.
