The Last Two People You'll Meet

As promised this week we're sharing the last 2 people you’ll meet at our Jump Club member festival hosted in Boston this September 7th and 8th. Earlier this month we wrote about the first two people you’ll meet, The Legend and The Kindred Spirit. Here’s the final two people you’ll meet when jumpers and soon-to-be-jumpers of all kinds—keynotes, foodies, musicians, makers, creatives—descend on Boston in not too long:
  1. The Rolodex: the person who knows the people you need to be talking to/meeting with/writing love letters to as you plan and make your jump. I can’t stand the word “networking” because it sounds too forced. I think instead about “collisions” doing interesting things that puts you in a position to collide with people who want to help you out, and vise versa. Jump Club was designed to be the catalyst for exactly this point: an organic melting pot of colliding ideas, people, stories. And through this mega-pinball-of-awesomeness, you will meet The Rolodex, the person who has just the book to lend you to read, who knows a friends’-dog-walkers’-sister you should definitely grab coffee with, who went to dinner just last week with an old friend who did what you’re trying to do. The Rolodex is the person to meet—I can’t tell you how you’ll meet TR, but my hunch is that you will.
  2. The Little Sibling: Jump Club works—and broadly speaking, When to Jump works—because our incredible global community members enjoy to give as much as they appreciate the chance. No where is this more evident than in our in-person Jump Club festival, where you may meet a ton of folks who want to help your jump (see: The Legend, The Kindred Spirit, The Rolodex) but you’ll also want to take this time and place to pass it on. You do this when you bump into The Little Sibling—the person a few steps (or more) behind you in the journey to jump, who admires you and is inspired by what you’re doing (or thinking of doing). And it’s in meeting The Little Sibling where you feel you’re giving as much as taking, where you’re “passing it on” and making sure the circle loops together and the wheels of our community continue to spin.

There you have it. The last 2 people you’ll meet at Jump Club Boston and a few words on why you need to meet them. Legends and Kindred Spirits, Rolodexes (is that a word?) and Little Siblings…a dream team of personalities here to help your jump…and they’re all waiting for you on September 7-8th in Bahston.

Keep jumping,
The When to Jump Team
