For all our readers Stateside, our team here at When to Jump hopes you all got in some good family time, grilling time, and any other time you make special for the Fourth of July holiday.
Shout outs to….
Jenny in Cypress, Texas, for just now signing the lease on her yoga studio and making her jump to starting Shaka Power Yoga! Jenny will be teaching a special yoga class for all those headed to Jump Club Boston—early bird All-Access Passes on sale now. And a second shout out to the jumpers behind Rad Business Collective in Greenville, South Carolina, who are starting up their company this week! One final shout out to Shelly in British Columbia, who said the book she’s reading to her 3 year-old about a walrus and a baseball player and is the perfect jump story, and that she’s about to jump into a self-employed procurement consultancy owner herself. Awesome, and good luck!! We love hearing about jumps in our community—feel free to share through our site or on Instagram.
Things to know…
Jump Club Boston is coming Sept 7-8, with All-Access Passes available on the site. Celebrity chef Ming Tsai and fast-casual restaurant start up Dig Inn will be participating, more to come and grab tickets here.
On the pod…
Author, podcaster and happiness expert Gretchen Rubin joined the When to Jump podcast last week to talk about the four tendencies she believes we all fall into, and how that impacts our ability to jump. Most interesting: why outer accountability is the most important thing you can do when you make a plan to make a jump.
In the news…
How “quitters are winning” (Wall Street Journal) in today’s job market—not surprising to many of us in this community! And, why more and more folks 85 and older continue to work - plus what they’re doing (Washington Post).
