Ever wonder what it would be like to completely reinvent your life? Start from the bottom and block by block create something new. Guess what, no one is stopping you. Your goal in life should be to wake up and choose YOU every single day. If you find yourself putting off a much-needed change then take a minute to ask yourself this: are you doing this for you or for someone or something else?
Financial stability, the dream job title, the big office. Do these sound familiar? Maybe they are the boxes you’ve been working towards checking off your whole life. Maybe now that you’ve checked them off you still find yourself wanting more. If so, maybe it’s time to make a change.
Overwhelm.
Do you feel it? It’s one of the most common states to be in when you’re facing a new jump or working to keep one moving forward. It’s easy to look at the many steps before you (or the endless to do list) and not know where to begin. We get it, and we thought we’d help you tackle it head on, starting with a podcast guest who knows a thing or two about getting things done and the relaunch of our online course. One move at a time is all it takes, so start by reading this and email us your favorite tip for overcoming the overwhelm. Things to know… Our online Jump Fundamentals course is officially open! Jump Fundamentals combines the three core pillars of the When to Jump mission—connection, education, and inspiration—to carry you through this self-guided, go at your own pace, and at your own time, experience. You'll have all the core material needed to get started on your jump. Sign up today. It’s here!! We are thrilled to share our first ever online, self-guided learning course. It’s called Jump Fundamentals and is designed as an introductory overview for any jumper at any phase of the jump journey. It’s built off of the successful pilot courses we led this past spring, but this time you can go at your own pace, at your own time: modules are based on the four phases of the Jump Curve framework that cover everything from the beginning (Listen to the Little Voice) to the end (Don’t Look Back) and everything in between.
Weekly reflection questions, homework assignments, and materials to read, watch and listen to—as well as guest lectures and words of wisdom from jumpers across the When to Jump community sprinkled across every step of the course. For now, the course is offered at $49, and will go up to $99 after we launch. Check it out now and get going on your jump! Wow! What a weekend!
Last weekend we welcomed a sold out crowd at Jump Club Boston. And not to create FOMO, but it. was. AWESOME. A massive thank you to so many of our global community members who descended into Boston for 48 hours packed to the brim with the best people, food and entertainment you could ask for. Imagine one big group of friends coming together over fresh food and live music, cold beers and great conversations. Imagine that, and you have Jump Club Boston. Another big shout out to our partners: Weebly, Remote Year, Zenrez, and The Food Lens. We could not have done it without you—and we can’t wait to team up again soon. Pick a BFF and get ready for Jump Club Boston!
For this entire weekend, when you buy an All-Access Weekend Pass we’ll give you a second All-Access Pass, half off (50%)! That’s right—get an All-Access Pass and get a second All-Access Pass 50% off. BOOM! What's included in the All-Access Pass, you ask? Private dinner parties, small group lunch and learns, sweat fitness workouts, free beer, donuts, Dig Inn, and world class keynotes... NBD. Hurry, sale ends midnight EST tomorrow, Sunday August 26th. See you in Boston! The When to Jump Team The other day, someone shared with our team a poem called “Yes”, by William Stafford. Which is fitting because a jumper in our community, John Valverde, came on the podcast today with a message around a similar idea: saying yes.
John spent sixteen years behind bars before becoming the first formerly incarcerated inmate to lead a global non profit. He’s a keynote at our Jump Club Boston festival next month (limited tickets remain) and shares a preview to his keynote today on the pod. It’s almost time! Less than a month away, and the stage is set for Jump Club Boston. Early bird pricing has sold out and we are on to regular pricing--grab tickets now before they sell out too!
This week we’re pumped to share a special, and particularly insightful guest post from our friends at Remote Year, an organization that’s all about helping folks jump without having to quit your job. They do it by taking you out of the office and around the world. We spent time speaking with their team and really like the perspective they bring to the question of when to jump. Enjoy this guest piece from Remote Year—we think it’s right on.
As promised this week we're sharing the last 2 people you’ll meet at our Jump Club member festival hosted in Boston this September 7th and 8th. Earlier this month we wrote about the first two people you’ll meet, The Legend and The Kindred Spirit. Here’s the final two people you’ll meet when jumpers and soon-to-be-jumpers of all kinds—keynotes, foodies, musicians, makers, creatives—descend on Boston in not too long:
